Privacy & Security

This plugin connects to WonderTax Labs (app.wonder.tax) to provide tax calculation and compliance services. When you connect your store:

Order data (customer location, product details, amounts) is sent to WonderTax Labs
All data is transmitted securely over HTTPS
Credentials are encrypted using industry-standard encryption
No payment information is transmitted
Data is used solely for tax compliance purposes

Automatic Installation

Log in to your WordPress admin panel
Navigate to Plugins > Add New
Search for “WonderTax Labs”
Click “Install Now” and then “Activate”
Navigate to WooCommerce > WonderTax Labs
Click “Connect to WonderTax Labs” to begin setup

Manual Installation

Download the plugin ZIP file
Log in to your WordPress admin panel
Navigate to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin
Choose the ZIP file and click “Install Now”
Activate the plugin
Navigate to WooCommerce > WonderTax Labs
Click “Connect to WonderTax Labs” to begin setup

After Installation

Click “Connect to WonderTax Labs” on the settings page
Log in to your WonderTax Labs account (or create one)
Authorize the connection
Optionally enable real-time tax calculation
Done! Your orders will now sync automatically

Do I need a WonderTax Labs account?: Yes, you need a WonderTax Labs account to use this plugin. You can sign up for free at app.wonder.tax.
Does this plugin calculate taxes at checkout?: Yes, when enabled, the plugin provides real-time tax calculation during checkout. This feature is optional and can be toggled in the settings.
Will my historical orders be imported?: Yes, WonderTax Labs can import your historical orders for comprehensive tax compliance tracking. This is done through the WonderTax Labs dashboard after connecting your store.
Is my data secure?: Yes, all credentials are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption, and all data transmission occurs over HTTPS. We follow industry best practices for security.
Which countries are supported?: Currently, WonderTax Labs focuses on US sales tax compliance. Support for additional countries may be added in the future.
Does this replace WooCommerce’s built-in tax system?: When real-time tax calculation is enabled, WonderTax Labs provides tax rates instead of WooCommerce’s built-in system. You can disable this feature at any time to revert to WooCommerce’s tax settings.
How do I disconnect my store?: Navigate to WooCommerce > WonderTax Labs and click “Disconnect Store”. This will remove all stored credentials and stop order syncing.
