HAQ Event Organizer helps you plan and run events from your WordPress site — Birthday Parties, Kitty Parties, Weddings, Corporate Events, Anniversaries and any custom event. Invite guests, collect RSVPs, take ticket payments, track your budget and keep vendors and tasks on schedule, all in one place.
Events
- Event pages with cover image, start and end date/time, venue, Google Map and “Get directions” button
- Six ready-made event types, each with its own details: celebrant and cake flavour, bride and groom with a list of ceremonies, corporate agenda with speakers, and more
- Capacity limits — the event page shows “3 places left” or “Fully booked”
- Live countdown to the start of the event
- Dates, times and prices shown in your site’s language and format
Guests and RSVPs
- Guest list with search, edit, CSV import and CSV export
- CSV import updates existing guests instead of creating duplicates
- One-click invitation emails with each guest’s private RSVP link
- RSVP form with Yes / Maybe / No, party size and dietary notes
- Private RSVP links let guests change their answer at any time — a second submission never overwrites the first
- Spam protection with a hidden honeypot field and rate limiting
Payments (optional)
- Collect ticket payments with Razorpay: guests who answer “Yes” pay ticket price × party size
- Payments are verified by signature and webhook, and a receipt is emailed automatically
- Payments screen with filters, CSV export and Mark paid / failed / refunded actions
Planning tools
- Budget per event with estimated vs actual costs, paid / outstanding totals and a chart by category
- Vendor list with cost and payment status — optionally added to the budget automatically
- Drag-and-drop task board (To Do, In Progress, Done) that also works with the keyboard
- Dashboard with upcoming events, attendance progress, RSVP breakdown and tasks due this week
Emails
- RSVP confirmation, new RSVP alert, invitation, reminder and payment receipt emails
- Edit the email text with tokens such as
{guest_name},{event_date}and{rsvp_link} - Automatic reminders a chosen number of days before the event
For teams
- “HAQ Event Organizer” user role — organizers only see and manage their own events, guests, RSVPs and payments
- Turn off the modules you don’t need (RSVP, Payments, Budget, Vendors & Tasks)
Works with your theme
- Classic and block (Full Site Editing) themes
- Event archive at
/events/with event-type filters and Upcoming / Past tabs - Every front-end template can be overridden from your theme
Shortcodes
[haqeo_event_list type="kitty-party" limit="6" columns="3" period="upcoming"]—periodcan beupcoming,pastorall[haqeo_event_calendar month="2026-12"]— monthly calendar with previous / next / today navigation[haqeo_event_rsvp_form id="123"]—idis optional on an event page[haqeo_event_countdown id="123"]
Legacy aliases [event_list], [event_calendar], [event_rsvp_form] and [event_countdown] are registered when no other plugin uses those names.
Theme templates
Copy any file from wp-content/plugins/haq-event-organizer/public/templates/ to wp-content/themes/your-theme/haq-event-organizer/ (keeping the same sub-folder) and edit it there. Classic themes use single-event.php and archive-event.php; block themes keep their own templates and the plugin adds the event details, map and RSVP form around the event content.
Translations
Includes Hindi, Gujarati, Spanish, Arabic, French, German and Brazilian Portuguese.
Developers
REST API under eo/v1 (events, guests, RSVP and the Razorpay webhook), plus actions and filters such as haqeo_rsvp_submitted, haqeo_payment_completed, haqeo_payment_amount and haqeo_email_tokens.
Privacy
The plugin stores event details, guest information (name, email, phone, dietary notes), RSVP responses, payments, budget items, vendor records and plugin settings in your WordPress database. Emails are sent using your site’s wp_mail() configuration. Guest data can be exported or erased from Tools Export / Erase Personal Data, and suggested privacy policy text is added to Settings Privacy.
If you enable payments, order requests containing the amount, currency and an internal reference are sent to the Razorpay API, and the guest’s name, email and phone are pre-filled in Razorpay Checkout. See Razorpay’s privacy policy. No data is sent to third parties unless you enable this optional integration.

haq-event-organizerfolder to/wp-content/plugins/and activate it on the Plugins screen.
Before you start
- Set your timezone under Settings General — event times and reminders use it.

- Make sure your site can send email (an SMTP plugin is recommended).
Your first event in 10 minutes

INR), check the sender name and email, and save. - Go to HAQ Events Add New Event. Add a title, description, event type, featured image and a start date, then click Publish.

FAQ.KG
-
How do I enable payments?
-
- Enable Payments under HAQ Events Settings and set your currency.
- Enter your Razorpay Key ID and Key Secret there, or define
RAZORPAY_KEYandRAZORPAY_SECRETinwp-config.php(constants take priority). - In the Razorpay dashboard add a webhook pointing to the URL shown in settings, subscribe to
payment.captured,order.paid,payment.failedandrefund.processed, and save the webhook secret in settings (orRAZORPAY_WEBHOOK_SECRET). - Mark an event as paid and set a ticket price. Guests who RSVP “yes” are sent to a secure payment page.
Test with Razorpay test keys first. Webhooks need a site that is reachable from the internet.
-
Does “Mark refunded” send the money back?
-
No. It only updates the status in WordPress. Issue the refund in the Razorpay dashboard — with the webhook set up, the status changes to Refunded automatically.
-
Can guests change their RSVP?
-
Yes. Every confirmation and invitation email contains a private link. If someone submits the form again with the same email address, the plugin emails them that link instead of overwriting the existing answer. You can also copy a guest’s link from the Guests screen.
-
How does the capacity limit work?
-
Set Capacity (max people) on the event;
0means unlimited. Only “Yes” answers count, including the people they bring. When the event is full, guests can still answer “Maybe” or “No”. -
How do I import guests?
-
Upload a CSV file under HAQ Events Guests Import from CSV. The columns are
nameandemail(required), andphone,invited_countanddietary_notes(optional). Guests with an email that already exists for the event are updated, not duplicated. In Excel, save as “CSV UTF-8”. -
How do I show events on my site?
-
Every event has its own page, and all events are listed at
/events/. You can also add the event list, calendar, RSVP form or countdown to any page with the shortcodes listed in the description. -
Can other people manage their own events?
-
Yes. Create a user with the HAQ Event Organizer role. They can create and manage their own events, guests, RSVPs, budgets, tasks and payments, but cannot see other organizers’ events or change the plugin settings.
-
Guests aren’t receiving emails. What should I do?
-
Install an SMTP plugin, set the sender email under HAQ Events Settings to an address on your own domain, and ask guests to check their spam folder.
-
Reminder emails weren’t sent.
-
Reminders are scheduled when you publish or update an event, so the reminder date must still be in the future at that point. They are sent by WP-Cron, which needs visitors to your site — on low-traffic sites ask your host to set up a real cron job. After changing the “days before” setting, update your events to reschedule them.
-
Event pages show “Page not found”.
-
Go to Settings Permalinks and click Save Changes to refresh the site’s URL rules.
-
The type-specific fields aren’t showing in the block editor.
-
Choose the event type, click Save draft, then reload the page.
-
How do I use Hindi or another language?
-
Set your site language under Settings General Site Language. Bundled translations cover strings from version 1.0.x; strings added in 1.1.0 and later fall back to English until the language packs are updated on WordPress.org translations.
-
What happens on uninstall?
-
Nothing is removed unless you ask for it. Deactivating never deletes anything. To remove all plugin data on deletion, tick the option in the Data removal section of HAQ Events Settings before deleting the plugin.
-
Where can I get support?
-
Visit the support forum on WordPress.org.
