Integrate WooCommerce with OpenAI Ads and ChatGPT Ads
Connect your WooCommerce product catalog to OpenAI Ads and ChatGPT Ads. HostedFeed prepares a product feed with prices and stock availability, updates it daily, and provides a Hosted URL. Add the URL as a product source in OpenAI Ads and use your catalog in ChatGPT Ads campaigns.
The plugin creates a CSV feed from published simple WooCommerce products and variations. The feed includes product titles, descriptions, prices, availability, images, and brand data. Choose which product categories to include. WooCommerce settings show the number of products in the catalog, items included in the feed, and excluded items.
OpenAI Ads manages catalog processing and campaign reporting. Product requirements and final product acceptance depend on OpenAI Ads.
What the WooCommerce integration provides
- A WooCommerce product feed for OpenAI Ads and ChatGPT Ads with prices and stock availability.
- Daily catalog updates and manual feed regeneration.
- Product category selection and counts for items included in or excluded from the feed.
- A Hosted URL for adding the product catalog in OpenAI Ads, without manual CSV exports or an API key.
Optional OpenAI Ads Pixel
The optional Pixel measures page and product views, cart additions, checkout starts, and paid orders when the WordPress Consent API permits marketing measurement. To measure campaign conversions, create an OpenAI Ads conversion event for order_created and assign it to a campaign.
HostedFeed does not manage campaigns or budgets. Feed generation runs in WordPress and does not require an API key or an external feed synchronization service.

Privacy
The plugin stores the generated product CSV under the WordPress uploads directory at an unguessable URL. Anyone with that URL can read the product data in the file. The product feed does not contain customer details or order data.
When enabled, the OpenAI Ads Pixel sends page and product identifiers, cart item identifiers and quantities, checkout events, and totals and product items from paid orders when marketing measurement is allowed. The OpenAI Pixel SDK may also process supported matching information it detects in website forms in the browser. Configure your privacy notice and consent management plugin before enabling the Pixel.
OpenAI retrieves the file after the store owner adds its Hosted URL in OpenAI Ads. That retrieval is governed by the store owner’s agreement with OpenAI.

- Install and activate WooCommerce.
- Upload and activate this plugin.
- Open WooCommerce > OpenAI Ads Feed.
- Select “Generate product feed.”
- Copy the Hosted URL shown by the plugin.
- In OpenAI Ads, create a feed using Hosted URL and paste the copied address.
- Keep WP-Cron working so the feed can refresh daily. Stores with little traffic should configure a system cron job to call
wp-cron.php.

Is an OpenAI Ads account required?

Yes. The plugin creates the feed file, but the store owner adds its URL and manages its processing in OpenAI Ads.

Which products are supported?

Published simple products and published variations of variable products are supported. Each item needs a title, description, public product URL, public image, brand, positive price, and stock status. Variations inherit the parent image, description, brand, and category when needed.
In the plugin settings, you can limit the feed to selected product categories. Selecting a parent category also includes products assigned to its subcategories. With no categories selected, all eligible products are included.
The brand is read from WooCommerce Brands or a product brand attribute. Products without a brand are omitted; the store name is not used as a substitute. SKU is not treated as a manufacturer part number. Physical condition is included only when a
ConditionorStanattribute explicitly containsnew,used, orrefurbished. Check the resulting feed before using it for second-hand or refurbished goods.When provided by product attributes, color, size, and material are included in the feed. Variations use their selected values and inherit other values from the parent product.
The feed includes the two-letter country code configured as the WooCommerce store location.

Does the plugin send customer or order data?

The product feed contains only catalog data. If the optional Pixel is enabled, it sends page, product, cart, checkout, and paid-order events when the WordPress Consent API allows marketing measurement. The OpenAI SDK may also process supported matching information it detects in website forms in the browser. See Privacy for details.

Is the feed URL public?

OpenAI must be able to fetch the URL without signing in. The address contains a random token and is not linked from the storefront. Treat it as private. The settings page can rotate the URL if needed.

How often does the feed update?

The plugin regenerates the complete CSV file daily with WP-Cron. A manual regeneration button is also available.

Does the plugin support the OpenAI Ads Pixel?

The Pixel is disabled by default. When enabled, the plugin sends page and product views, cart additions, checkout starts, and paid order events only when the WordPress Consent API allows marketing measurement. A compatible consent management plugin must be installed and configured.
To count paid orders as campaign conversions, create a conversion event in OpenAI Ads using this data source and the
order_createdevent, then attach that conversion to your campaign. -
Does this plugin manage campaigns or budgets?

No. It generates and updates the product feed only.
