Printen.eu Print on Demand

Сүрөттөө

Printen.eu is a European print-on-demand service for resellers. This plugin connects your WooCommerce shop to your Printen.eu reseller account:

  • Connect with an API key. Paste a reseller API key from your Printen.eu dashboard. The plugin checks it and shows your wallet balance.
  • Link products. On the product edit screen, choose which of your Printen.eu products (by SKU) a WooCommerce product or variation is. Or import your Printen.eu products as draft WooCommerce products, with title, description, price and mockup images.
  • Automatic order forwarding. When an order is paid (status “Processing”), the order lines linked to Printen.eu are sent to Printen.eu in the background. Checkout is never slowed down or blocked. Orders with a mix of Printen.eu and other products work: only the linked lines are sent.
  • White label. Printen.eu ships to your customer under your own brand name and never includes prices in the parcel.
  • Tracking back to your shop. When Printen.eu ships, the order receives the tracking code as a customer note. The tracking is also stored in the format used by the “Advanced Shipment Tracking” plugin. When all lines of the order are Printen.eu products, the order is marked “Completed”.
  • Order status at a glance. A “Printen.eu” box on the order screen shows the Printen.eu order number, state, tracking and a button to send the order again or refresh its status.
  • Safe retries. Temporary errors are retried with increasing delays using Action Scheduler, which is part of WooCommerce. Every order is sent with an idempotency key, so a retry never creates a second order.
  • Sandbox mode. With a prk_test_ key, orders are accepted but not charged and not produced, so you can test the whole flow.

Payment for Printen.eu orders comes from your prepaid Printen.eu wallet or your saved card, depending on your reseller settings. If your wallet balance is too low, the order waits and continues automatically after you top up; the plugin adds an order note and shows a dismissible notice on the WooCommerce order screens and the plugin’s settings page.

Supports WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).

External services

This plugin connects to the Printen.eu reseller API (https://www.printen.eu/api/reseller/v1), operated by Printen.eu (the Netherlands). The connection is required for the plugin to work: Printen.eu prints and ships the orders.

The plugin contacts Printen.eu only in the following situations, and only after you have entered an API key:

  • When you click Connect or Refresh status: your API key is sent to check it and read your wallet balance (GET /wallet). Your shop’s webhook URL (for example https://yourshop.example/wp-json/printen/v1/webhook) is registered (POST /webhooks) so Printen.eu can send tracking updates. Old registrations of this plugin are removed (GET and DELETE /webhooks).
  • On the product edit screen and when importing products: your list of Printen.eu products is read (GET /reseller-products). When you import products, the mockup images are downloaded into your media library from the image URLs stored with your Printen.eu products (files hosted by Printen.eu, or addresses you entered yourself in your Printen.eu dashboard). This is a plain image download; no data about your shop or customers is sent with it.
  • When an order is paid (or when you click “Send to Printen.eu”): the linked order lines (Printen.eu SKU and quantity), your order ID and order number, and the delivery address of the order are sent (POST /orders). The delivery address consists of the recipient’s name, company, street address, postal code, city, state and country, the customer’s e-mail address and phone number. Printen.eu uses these to produce and deliver the order and to send shipping updates.
  • When you click “Refresh status” on an order: the Printen.eu order is read (GET /orders/{id}).
  • When you click Disconnect or delete the plugin: the webhook registration is removed (DELETE /webhooks/{id}).

Printen.eu sends order updates (state, production status and tracking) to your shop’s webhook URL. These requests are signed with a secret that only your site and Printen.eu know, and the plugin rejects any request without a valid signature.

Every request carries your API key and a User-Agent with the plugin and WordPress version numbers. No other data is sent, and the plugin does not track visitors or send usage statistics.

  • Printen.eu privacy policy: https://www.printen.eu/nl/privacy (English: https://www.printen.eu/en/privacy)
  • Printen.eu terms and conditions: https://www.printen.eu/nl/algemene-voorwaarden (English: https://www.printen.eu/en/terms)

As the shop owner you are responsible for informing your customers that their delivery details are shared with Printen.eu for fulfilment, for example in your privacy policy.

FAQ.KG

Do I need a Printen.eu reseller account?

Yes. Apply for a reseller account at https://www.printen.eu/nl/wederverkopers. Once your account is approved you can create API keys in your dashboard.

Which orders are sent to Printen.eu?

Only orders that reach the status “Processing” (paid), and only the lines whose product or variation is linked to a Printen.eu SKU. Orders that are “On hold” (for example waiting for a bank transfer) are sent once they are paid. Refunded quantities are left out.

I already connected my shop in the Printen.eu dashboard with WooCommerce REST API keys. Do I need this plugin?

No. Use either the plugin or the server-side connection, not both. When the plugin detects the server-side connection, it shows a warning and does not forward orders itself, so no order is placed twice. To switch to the plugin, disconnect the shop in your Printen.eu dashboard.

What happens when my wallet balance is too low?

Printen.eu accepts the order and keeps it in the state “Waiting for wallet funds”. It continues automatically after you top up. The plugin adds an order note and shows a dismissible notice on the WooCommerce order screens and on the plugin’s settings page.

What happens if Printen.eu cannot be reached?

The plugin retries in the background after 1, 5, 15, 60 and 180 minutes. If it still fails, the order gets a note and a dismissible notice appears on the WooCommerce order screens. Use “Send to Printen.eu” on the order screen to try again.

Does cancelling an order in WooCommerce cancel it at Printen.eu?

No. An order may already be in production, and cancelling costs money, so cancel it yourself in your Printen.eu dashboard.

Does it work with variable products?

Yes. Link the parent product, or give each variation its own Printen.eu product. A variation’s own link takes precedence.

Is my API key safe?

The key is stored in your WordPress database (not autoloaded) and only sent to the Printen.eu API. It is never shown again in full on the settings page. Revoke it at any time in your Printen.eu dashboard.
